Korea's Something Special teams with 4DReplay

NEWS BRIEF: South Korean formats specialist Something Special has agreed a co-development deal with local media technology company 4DReplay.

Under the partnership, the two firms will create non-scripted and scripted formats using 4DReplay’s four-dimensional time slice video production system, which creates detailed any-time and any-angle highlights. Founded in 2020 by Jin Woo Hwang, former format chief at CJ ENM, and InSoon Kim, ex-head of formats at SBS, Something Special creates its own IP and also represents the creators behind formats including singing competition The Masked Singer and I Can See Your Voice, as well as new gameshow Still Alive.
